The RCLC’s 2nd Annual Summer BizCamp held a business plan contest at the end of the two week seminar (July 14 – 25, 2008). After an intensive 70 hours of training, participants shared their business plan ideas using a template developed by the National Foundation for Teaching Entrepreneurship (NFTE). Many great ideas were presented, but the final contest winners were:
1st Place – Tirshatha Jeffries – TJ’s Graphics ($500)
2nd Place – Emmanuel Ruvalcaba – Ruvalcaba Landscaping ($300)
3rd Place – Denise & Demitra Dixon – D & D Childcare ($200)
Innovative Business Award – Edward Alexander – Cycle Delic ($100)
Best PowerPoint Presentation – Tirshatha Jeffries – TJ’s Graphics ($100)
