Football Parking

This is one of several class projects that are part of the Robinson Enterprises program. Operating the parking lot as a fundraiser gives students in the class an opportunity to “earn as they learn” by implementing a collaborative business venture developed by the class in 2005.

Class participants not only meet an important community need—safe, affordable parking during home football games—they also get a chance to practice strategic planning, marketing, customer service, and money handling skills. On top of that, it’s a LOT of fun!!!!!!

Parking guests are allowed to reserve numbered parking spaces in advance, or pay at the gate on game day. All guests have access to both indoor and outdoor bathroom facilities. One of the best features of this parking venue is the fact that guests enjoy shuttle service to and from the game if they so desire. As a result, injured or elderly guests, parents with young children, or people who just don’t want to walk can enjoy the game with minimal distraction.

Tailgating is welcome and encouraged! A special section for RVs is available. A smaller grass lot is available across the street for overflow parking or for those who prefer grass for their tailgate party.

During the 2008 Notre Dame football season, this effort raised $13,000 for youth programming at the RCLC! We greatly appreciate the support of our parking guests in helping this great program continue. To reserve a parking space in advance, call Luther Tyson at (574) 631-9435 or send email to LTyson@nd.edu.
